Clayton County, GA- Additional funds for emergency rental assistance in Clayton County. Project Real Life Youth Occupational Training Corps, Inc. will provide management, oversight, and operation services for the distribution of an additional $1.6 million dollars in stimulus funds to Clayton County residents (per the 09/05/2023 CLAYTON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Regular Business Meeting minutes). These funds were awarded to Clayton County by the 2021 American Rescue Plan Act for the County’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ARPA ERA funds).

Project Real Life Youth Occupational Training Corp, Inc.- a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization serving Metropolitan Atlanta. We focus on rehabilitation of delinquent youth, the mentoring of children and teens and the strengthening of families in the community. Our goal is to promote economic improvement and the empowerment of our citizens through our programs, which include GED preparation, job training, job placement, counseling, case management, affordable housing opportunities as well as food and clothing distribution, while helping to reduce the burden of government.

The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) is a federal support program for state and local rental assistance programs across the country1. It was authorized by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and provides $21.55 billion to assist eligible households with financial assistance, provide housing stability services, and as applicable, to cover the costs for other affordable rental housing and eviction prevention activities21345. The funding is available for future rent and rental arrears, future utilities and delinquent payments, or other expenses related to housing3.
