Clayton County, GA- The descendants of Roberta Thompson Smith traveled from out of state on Monday, June 13, 2022, to visit Clayton County Public School Roberta T. Smith Elementary School located in Rex, GA. Roberta T. Smith Elementary School was named after their late relative, Roberta Thompson Smith.
Roberta Thompson Smith dedicated 38 years of her life to education as a teacher and principal in the Clayton County school system and retired in 1971. Smith passed away at the age of 91 on August 11, 1996 (Deaths, Clayton New Daily, Tuesday, August 13, 1998 State & Local News).
