Join Clayton County Parks and Recreation for a Community Park Clean-Up
The Clayton County Parks and Recreation Department is calling on residents to make a difference in their community by participating in a Community Park Clean-Up & Trash Dump event. This initiative will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Morrow Lake City Park (5555 North Lake Drive, Lake City, GA 30260).
This event offers an opportunity for individuals and families to contribute to the beautification of local parks while promoting sustainability. Participants will have the chance to dispose of trash, recycle, and pick up litter alongside other members of the community.
Event Guidelines
Bring Your Own Trash: Participants are encouraged to safely dispose of their personal waste during the event.
Recycle: Recycling stations will be available to help keep recyclable materials out of landfills.
Assist with Litter Collection: Volunteers will work together to remove litter and restore the park’s natural beauty.
Non-Acceptable Items
The following items will not be accepted at the event:
Tires
Medical waste
Liquids
TVs
Batteries
Flammable materials
Hazardous waste
Asbestos
Clayton County Parks and Recreation reminds everyone to respect the environment and not to litter. Every effort made during this clean-up will help create a cleaner, greener community.
