We sat down with the Co-Owner of The Best of Clayton County and asked her a few questions about what it is that she does here in Clayton County, Georgia. Here are some of the highlights of that interview.
Interviewer: What is the Best of Clayton County?
Trina: The Best of Clayton County is your "Ultimate Community Resource Guide for Everything Clayton County, GA". If you are looking for it, you can find it on our site. We even have a page for non-profit organizations and handy government links. We also want to help build a sense of community pride and help residents connect with one another. This is why we make it a point to share the positive or "best" of Clayton County. We also have a community meetup group where we get together for walks, hikes, or community events. And most importantly, our meetup group is free to join.
Interviewer: Are you apart of the government.
Trina: No, we are not! It is actually just me and my husband. And my mom helps out a great deal with the boys when we are both out working. But we take it as a huge compliment when people think we are a large organization from all that we have accomplished.
Interviewer: You guys have a radio show right?
Trina: (Laughs) Well it's actually an in-person show filmed live with professional lighting, mics, and backdrop. It's more like a television talk show. It's just another why for our residents, non-profits, and business owners alike can share their awesomeness with our Clayton County audience.
Interviewer: What is your biggest pride and joy about The Best of Clayton County?
Trina: We are most proud about our Business Program that we created for Clayton County, GA. It is called the PerkBCC Business Directory for Clayton County. Everything you can possibly need, all in one location, apart of a great team.
Interviewer: So it is a business directory. How is your business program different?
Trina: It's more than a directory. We support each other. It's a great networking resource. And what is different, is that we do not add businesses just to add businesses. We do not want our teammates competing against each other so once you have a particular spot, it is your spot. Instead of competing against each other, it gives our team the opportunity to focus on providing the excellent customer service and products that our business owners strive to do everyday for the Clayton County community. There is no other way to be, when you are apart of a business program with The Best of Clayton County.
