Tuesday, June 25, 2024 marked the final day of the #WellnessWithWells program until its return in November! The program concluded with a full class, highlighting the community's dedication to health and wellness. Initially scheduled to end in February, the program was extended due to popular demand, and participants have fully embraced the opportunity.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the participants who demonstrated remarkable dedication and determination throughout the program. Their commitment is truly inspiring. Special thanks are extended to the incredible instructor, Mr. Larry Malone, whose guidance and support have been invaluable. Even on days when Councilwoman Akins-Wells couldn't be present, the participants showed up and gave their best effort, proving their unwavering commitment to their health goals.
Celebrating Achievements
A huge congratulations to Tesha, who was recognized as the biggest loser in the last three weeks of the class. Tesha's hard work resulted in an impressive weight loss of 26 pounds, earning her a well-deserved $200 prize. Her achievements are a testament to her determination and perseverance.
Looking Forward to November
Everyone has done an outstanding job, and the community looks forward to reconvening in November. The #WellnessWithWells community is strong, and together, they will continue to support each other on their wellness journeys.
